 Super Boy
2007 Super Boy was transmitted on May 1st, with a share reaching 43.0% (including tryout and the midday repeat). It is estimated that about 330 million Chinese viewers watching it and the audience rating and influence topped all similar programs. Super Boy is also the musical reality show favored most by audience in 2007.
The CSM31 average rating during the period of playoff is 2.46 with a share reaching 6.87%. The audience ratings of 5 successive episodes ranked 1st among all domestic TV channels at the same time period. The rating of the playoff on July 20th reached the highest point of 3.32 with a share reaching 8.99%.
The most prominent characteristic of this year's Super Boys is the participation of candidates with western education background, such as Su Xing. The program has thus witnessed a tremendous increase of audience numbers from overseas, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The biggest increase come from the Atlantic and Southeast Asian countries, among which US, Canada, Australia, UK and Japan rank the top five in overseas audience share.
Among the audience aging between 4-18, the rating of Super Boy is 1.92% with a share of 7.01%, almost twice more than the similar programs at the same time period.
Its audience rating and influence remain strong ahead of other similar programs in China .The Sunshine New Generation of "super boys" has became the idols widely favored by Chinese youth.
